Runs the lettings book across three markets and refuses short lets, which is why the book is small and the tenancies are long.
Paz built the lettings desk from nine properties in 2014 to the present book, and has kept a single rule the whole way: twelve months minimum, no holiday lets, no exceptions for a higher rent.
Most of her tenants arrive on a posting of two or three years and stay for four. She handles the handover inventory herself on every property, which is unusual and is the reason deposits here are rarely disputed.
How Paz works
Twelve months, minimum
A long let keeps a building in good condition and keeps neighbours on side. She has turned down a great deal of business over this and intends to go on doing so.
The inventory is photographic
Every let starts with a dated photographic inventory signed by both sides. It takes an afternoon and saves an argument two years later.
