CLP-014The Long HouseView
Four we would be sorry to lose
The register is short on purpose. These are the houses open for viewing this month.
The whole register

Ten houses we can answer questions about, not four hundred we cannot
Every property here was walked through by the partner selling it, measured rather than estimated, and photographed in one visit. Where a listing carries a single photograph, it says so.
Photographed once, properly
A listing carries the frames one visit produced. Never a gallery padded with pictures of a different building.
Measured, not estimated
Floor areas come from a site measurement and are stated as maximums. Developer figures are marked contractual or indicative.
The fault is in the particulars
Access tracks, water rights, service charges and harbour hours. The things that matter in year three.
Six markets, each with a desk in it
We do not cover a country. We cover six places, and we can tell you what each one is like in February.
All markets
Coastal · Desk since 1991
Nine kilometres of cliff with houses on it, most of them built between 1968 and 1979, and almost none of them for sale at any given time.

Sablon
SBLCapital · Desk since 1986
The city's stone quarter: six streets of nineteenth-century apartment blocks, a cleared goods yard behind them, and the best-converted industrial buildings in the country.

Harbour · Desk since 2004
A working harbour with a ridge of houses above it. The boats still go out, which is the reason the place has not been ruined.

Vineyard · Desk since 1998
Vine country: long ridges, stone farmhouses, and a handful of houses built in the last twenty years by people who came for a harvest and stayed.

Elsmoor
ELSWoodland · Desk since 2009
Pine and birch on sand, forty minutes from the capital, with the country's densest concentration of good modern houses hidden inside it.

Lake Corvane
CORLakeside · Desk since 2016
Eleven kilometres of freshwater with boathouses along the north shore and, on the old sawmill site, the only new scheme we currently represent.
Five partners, and the one holding your instruction answers the phone
Not a call centre and not a rotating team. One name from the first viewing to the day the meters are read.
Meet the partnersHélène Vaud
Senior Partner · West Coast
Twenty-six years on the same nine kilometres of headland. She has sold most of the good houses on Calaret Point at least twice.
Tobias Renn
Partner · Sablon
Knows which Sablon blocks have a reserve fund, which have a lift that works, and which have neither.
Imara Solberg
Partner · Lakes and Northern Shore
Opened the Corvane desk in 2016 and represents the sawmill scheme from plan — including the parts of the programme that have slipped.
Nils Aubrey
Partner · Elsmoor and country houses
Sells houses that were designed for their plot, and is straightforward about the ones that were not.
Notes on architecture, value and the parts nobody enjoys

One photograph is better than eight of somewhere else
Why some listings on this register carry a single plate

What a service charge is actually for
Reading a block's accounts before you read its brochure

Houses designed for their plot, and houses dropped onto it
The difference is visible in the first photograph
A valuation with the comparable evidence attached
A written figure, a range, and the two or three things that would move it — within five working days of the visit, with no obligation to instruct.
