Lake Corvane

Corvane is a quiet lake. There is no powered craft over eight knots, which keeps the water flat and the shore usable, and the north side holds the afternoon sun until late.

Almost everything on the water is old: timber boathouses, a few 1930s villas, one hotel. The exception is the sawmill site at the eastern end, cleared in 2019 and now being built out in two phases of detached houses.

We represent the scheme from plan. That is a different job from selling a finished house, and the pages for it say so: specifications can change, completion dates move, and we publish the ones we have been given rather than the ones we would like.

What it is actually like

Eight-knot limit across the whole lake. No wake, no jet craft, and the swimming is better for it.
The north shore holds sun until about seven in midsummer; the south shore loses it by four.
Riparian rights along the north shore include a mooring but not a right to build over the water.
The lake freezes at the eastern end in most winters, usually for three to five weeks.
